Who we are
AgroFarmer is built and operated by Savana-Tchad Industrie (STI). This policy explains what information the app collects when you use it, and how that information is used, shared and protected.
Information we collect
- Account details you provide: full name, mobile number, email address, home address and preferred language when you sign up or update your profile.
- Farm data: fields you add, their location, size and type, crops and growing seasons, and related income and expense records.
- Machinery data: tractors and equipment you register, including vehicle number, maintenance dates, and income or expense records for each.
- Location data: the location you set for a field, including when you use "Use Current Location" to pin it automatically.
- Photos and descriptions you submit to Farm Doctor when asking about a crop or plant issue.
- Marketplace listings you post, including item details, price, and the contact details you choose to show to buyers.
- Job posts you create or apply to through Agriculture Jobs.
- Wallet activity: balance, transfers and withdrawals, and the mobile number used for a withdrawal.
- Basic device and usage information needed to run the app and keep it secure.
How we use this information
- To show you your own farm, tractor and wallet data, and let you manage it.
- To match you with relevant market prices for your city and crops.
- To connect your Farm Doctor questions with an answer.
- To display your Marketplace and job listings to other users, including the contact details you chose to include.
- To process wallet transfers and withdrawals you request.
- To show the app in your preferred language.
Sharing your information
Details you choose to include in a Marketplace or job listing — such as your name and mobile number — are shown to other users so they can contact you about it. We may also share information with service providers who help us run payments, hosting or messaging, only as needed to provide those services, and where required by law or to protect the rights, safety or property of STI, our users, or others. We do not sell your personal information.
Your choices and rights
- You can review and update your profile details, including your language, at any time from Profile.
- You can delete your account from Profile settings; this removes your access and associated personal data, subject to what we're required to keep for legal, accounting or security reasons.
- You control what you include in a Marketplace or job listing, including whether to share your mobile number.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active, and for a limited period afterward where needed for legal, accounting, dispute-resolution or security purposes.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
AgroFarmer is intended for farmers and farm businesses and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. We'll update the "last updated" date when we do, and significant changes will be highlighted in the app where appropriate.
